Archaeology Between Play and Discovery
Museum tour activities, Obsidian Park visit, and workshop activities dedicated to groups and families are conducted by staff with expertise in archaeology and specific training in museum education.The educational experiences are designed to introduce participants to the basic concepts of archaeology and specific obsidian-related topics.They aim to engage all people participating by emphasizing curiosity and learning through exploration, emotion, and play.

CRAFTSMEN OF PREHISTORY
GESTURES AND TOOLS OF THE NEOLITHIC ERA
Experimental craft activities to learn about ancient gestures and knowledge and to touch the tools in use in Neolithic times. Experimentation with activities such as: obsidian as a cutting tool, pottery, bone polishing, natural fibers and loom.

HUMAN EVOLUTION
SO MUCH CONFUSION!
Multidisciplinary approach to the topic of human evolution in light of new scientific evidence. Through the use of life-size casts of the major hominids that characterize the evolutionary history of the human species, participants are guided through the fascinating journey of the evolution of homo sapiens, a recent migrant and African species.

What happens when an archaeological excavation has concluded? How does the work of archaeologists continue, indoors in their laboratories? Hands-on activity of sorting, selecting, recognizing, and cataloging artifacts from a prehistoric field excavation.
