The Obsidian Museum in Pau is the only museum facility in Europe dedicated to this extraordinary product of volcanic activity. There is only one other in the world, and it is located in Japan. Our proposals
We offer visitors guided tours of the collection, educational workshops and visits to the archaeological area in Obsidian Park on Mt. Arci. Hikes in the Park allow people to appreciate the beauty of a pristine forest where ancient prehistoric craftsmen experimented with their skills in chipping raw material. Recently the trails have been enriched by the presence of the art installations of the Monte Arci LandArt and Un bosco da Fiaba projects.
